Modular delivery of six new kindergartens across live school sites for the Victorian School Building Authority.

The KOSS 2021 program delivered six Kindergartens on School Sites — at Ardeer, Lucknow, Southern Cross, Apollo Bay, Keysborough and Kyneton — procured under Design & Construct and built using modular construction to compress the program and minimise impact to operating schools, delivered in two tranches between August 2020 and February 2021.

Works were coordinated across six concurrent, live school sites, with construction access, egress and staging managed around continuing school operations and onsite temporary accommodation. Scope extended to demolition of redundant services, underground tanks and asbestos, infrastructure upgrades and new connections, Protection Works Notices, stormwater drainage modelling and all-abilities access requirements, with council, service authorities and co-funded agencies engaged across all six sites. The program was delivered in two tranches, sequenced to allow sufficient time for licensing ahead of scheduled kindergarten operations — meeting VSBA program deliverables while minimising disruption to six live school communities.
